Need help with roughage..

...er, Honey does. Took her to vet as her anal glands need to be expressed pretty often..they said to increase her dry dog food over the canned. Would it help to add froz. cooked green beans or what??? Anyone have any suggestion on what I can feed her to firm up stool?

chopped celery or chopped lettuce also helps

Canned pumpkin is also fiber-full.

Jonathan, by 5 1/2 year old Maltese, had an episode of constipation last week. We just switched him to a high-fiber prescription diet (Hill's w/d). I'll be curious to see if he needs his anal glands emptied less often with it.
