My 7 mo. old Dobie puppy has been scratching her chin like crazy. She seems almost obsessed with it. I mentioned it to the vet and he said it's a very mild case of puppy pyoderma and she will probably outgrow it.
In the meantime, is there anything I can put on it? I have shampooed it with Head and Shoulders and that seemed to stop the itching, but now she's back scratching again.

you might try plain old which hazel and rub it on==its safe and you can also use hydrocortisone ointment but ask you vet first...these usually are staph infections that can be treated with anitbiotics if it get reall bad but it is best to try to let nature take care of it first...
