..."The Morning Antics of a Cat"
5:30 a.m. ...the events begin:
A) keys are knocked to hardwood floor ... solo hockey begins
B) cat needs goal, Mom's *heavy* purse gets dragged onto the floor and into middle of room to serve the purpose
C) Mom gets up, Mom is not happy
D) cat gives up on hockey, jumps on telephone and takes great joy in rearranging wires
E) cat then rearranges everything else on telephone stand with teeth and feet
F) Mom gets up again, Mom is still not happy
G) with phone, keys and purse withdrawn from game, cat now jumps to counter and begins tennis match with coffee scoop
H) scoop goes out of bounds and cat jumps to higher ground (that would be refrigerator) to view the area
I) Mom gets up again, Mom is really not happy and boy is she tired
K) cat decides magnets on refrigerator would make great asset to game ... Mom foils the attempt
L) cat gets down, Mom goes back to bed
M)cat decides Mom does not need to sleep and will now go bowling with salt and pepper shakers on table
N) Mom gets back up, removes cat from table and moves to sofa
O)cat sits and purrs, thinks Mom is asleep and decides to go fishing in Mom's cabinet where the other day he caught a big tape dispenser and killed it easily by knocking it to the floor... today's target is the stapler which Mom has cleverly (she thinks) hidden behind some books
P) cat will not be fooled, cat flings books and moves in for the kill
Q) Mom can't get up, she's too tired, she tries yelling but cat is not dumb, cat ignores her then decides to get back at Mom for yelling by doing litter kicks on her desk papers
R) Mom now has to get up....again... Mom is really really really not happy
S) little ****, um, I mean cat, is now racing through house with feet that sounds like giant suction cups - his furry fans have now gathered to join him and cheer him on
T) cat decides to use fans for a short game of tag and leap frog
U) time out - litter boxes... very noisy litter boxes
V) time out again... short baths... very short baths
W)fans poop out...cat keeps going....ball goes flying and turbo scratcher goes flying with it across floor into wall... cat is unfazed
X)Mom passes out
Y)cat who is now quite happy with himself jumps on Mom purring away and curls up next to Mom
Z)where it's now at least an hour later and cat and Mom *finally* get some sleep!!
