Fiddlesticks!

Post by Marty »

(Mary, where did that word come from?) The cycle is broken.....haven't had a flea problem in over 10 years and refused meds for them....why treat what you don't have? All 4 dogs have been itchy in the past week, and I finally found a flea on Winnie. Actually, I found one on Biscotti a few weeks ago after she had been at the Vet's, so that is probably where they came from. So they all got "Advantaged" today! Just wondering, as this is the 1st time I have used this stuff.....do you still have to treat the carpet as well? What I used to go through with ole Bear (RIP) was just ridiculous....Dang it! But it can't be too bad yet, because, from experience, fleas like me, too, and they haven't yet attacked!

just a comment on getting fleas at the vets...i used to use fenthion and would put a drop or so on a dog and within a few minutes the fleas would drop off on the exam table...the most usual comment from the owners was that the dog did not have them when he came in....back to fiddlestix- the really last place you would pick up fleas would be in a vets waiting room unless the dog frolicked with another dog in that room,,,but even then the chances would be verty low...dogs most commonly pick up flease from walks, i mean walking on grass or even side walks because they can live in the cracks etc from rabbits, squirrels, other dogs etc....just a thought

What is fention????? I don't really mean to blame the Vet's for fleas....Bisc was put under to have her ears flushed, and when she came home I saw a flea on her nose. I know we can track them in on our shoes, etc. and walks have been non-existant lately, because of my back problems. Just venting cause I dislike fleas!

Hmm...So "fiddlesticks" is more like "pschaw (sp?)'" than it's like "dang it" which is what I really meant....

Thanks for explaining fenthion, too!
