Long time, no see....

Post by Julie B »

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Busy with school and graduation. I am now officially Julie B, DVM!! I got a job with a small animal practice in Phoenix AZ and am moving there next weekend. I'm very excited for my new career and the move. Things will be crazy for awhile, but hopefully I will get settled relatively quickly. I am going before hubby so he can sell the house, etc.

Sorry to post this in the health section, wasn't sure where would be appropriate.

I'll try to post more (at least until I get swamped at the new job!)

Double Congratulations! Also, Phoenix is one of the top rated cities in quality-of-life factors, I've read. Please continue to post as often as you can... You are going to have a very interesting life. :D

Congrats, Julie

congrats Julie, it is all up hill from here on, maybe a few bumps but mostly good...i am curius as to whether you have yet had your first emergency patient without anyone else in the clinic.....i can still remember my very first solo patient, my first solo time at the clinic...no help around to hold, to ask, to discuss, to run lab work etc....that was a thrill...and congrats again....have fun...

A big CONGRATULATIONS!!

Hope all goes very well for you. My kid almost moved to Phoenix - her best friend moved there after college. She still misses the friend, but figured she'd miss family more - makes me happy! It was a close one though, my daughter really liked it there, and she may yet decide to move.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! I am now officially registered again, thanks Traci!

No, davet, no emergencies on my own yet. Just got my license this week! I'm getting a little bored and can't wait to move and get started! I'm afraid all that knowledge is going to exit my brain if I don't start using it soon. I decided to move rather late so I am waiting for my AZ license and temporary permit to go through. Should be the middle of this month.

Wiill be interesting to move 4 dogs and one cat across the country! I'm looking forward to the drive though. I hope the weather is nice.
