Hi everyone!
I am a new kitten owner. My friends cat had kittens and she gave me both sister kitties. <already encouraged my friend to get her cat spayed now> I named them Bianca<she's white, with gray on her ears and tails>, Callie is a calico<striped>. They're really cute, and playful. They are about 3 1/2 months old.
I am going to get them checked out at the vet, get all their shots, and get them spayed pretty soon. <would never consider owning unspayed cats>
Their collars are too big for them. I'm hoping they'll grow into them.
I also have a dog named Maggie. She basically stared at them and walked away. Bianca didn't hiss at Maggie. She just looked at her. I think Maggie is more afraid of the cats than they are of her.
Ooops. They are awake now. They want to play!!
So any suggestions for a new kitten parent??? Pictures are coming soon!
Thanks!
Thea

Welcome! Hope to see some cute pics soon?!?! We LOVE pics!
Anyway, I feel some sort of connection to you . . . I have a calico named Callie (I know, how original) and a collie dog named Maggie. They live on my parent's farm but they're mine . . . ha ha, just thought that was neat.
Anyway, glad to have you . . . this is a great place to exchange stories & ideas.
I have a 7 month old that lives in the house and she's been an absolute joy! and i'm so glad you got the sisters together. I hate that I didn't bring home one of Josie's brothers or sisters. makes me sad to think about it. Maybe someday I can get her someone to play with.
Good luck with those new kittens. They're soooooo cute at that age!

Hi Christa!
Thanks for welcoming me! They are so cute!! I was only going to take Callie, until my friend told me the other kitten was a female too. I was reading some information up on kittens and it said to have two of them. They like to sleep a lot! lol.
I really need to get a camera so I can take some pictures of them.
Bianca was standing on Maggie, and Maggie just stood there like it was no big deal. My dog is so weird! She likes kittens, but not other dogs. Crazy mutt!!

Welcome!!! Can't wait to see pics of your furbabies!!!
I got my two kittens (well, they aren't kittens anymore, they are 1.5 years old now) at the same time. We work all day and didn't want to just get one, because we didn't want the one to be alone all day. We got a male and a female, who aren't actually brother sister, and they hit it off since day one. They are both fixed (thank goodness!!) and get along famously. They are never apart, it was so sweet to watch them grow up together.
Enjoy your babies...and congrats on being a new meowmy!!!!
