Gurgling tummy

Post by nikzam »

Hi,

My cat who has been diagnosed with kidney cancer has lost her appetite again and has a gurgling tummy. The vet said this is from nausea but I didn't think to ask if you could give a cat Tums or an antacid. Would anyone have info on that? Thanks.

Hi,

I'm so sorry to hear your cat has kidney cancer. I wanted to share that I had a cat with CRF, and when he was in his end stage, he was nauseous. The vet prescribed ranitidine to help with the excess acid. If your vet things that your cat is nauseous for this reason, then please ask him/her to recommend or prescribe something for your kitty so that they will not feel so bad. Good luck to you. kk
