Chipped Tooth

Post by AEWojo »

Can someone tell me if it is a problem that my cat, Kisses, a siamese is sporting a new chipped tooth? It is her front sharp one( I am not sure what the proper name for the tooth is!) there is no root exposed or discoloration present. It looks as though it has been snapped in half! Is this something I should be concerned about? I do have another siamese, Cappy (male) and they are always wrestling. Which this could be the result of their match...lol! Anyone have any advice?

i suspect you are referring to the vcanine topoth..this usually occurs between 4 and 9 months of age...if this is a young cat then the "baby" tooth probably got chipped and should come out,,,again, i just guess that this is a young cat cause they will not replace an older tooth like sharks cando...whats the age of the cat???????
