My black lab just had a litter of 10 puppies two weeks ago. The labor went 0k (roughly 14 hours). My question is...is it normal for her to bleed a little after birth...not a lot, just little drips here and there but what I am worried about is that it is now 2 weeks later and she is still bleeding (less than befor but still there). The dogs demeanor is fine...running, jumping, playing, goes for walks, eats, drinks. I just want to know if the bleeding is normal and for how long it "should" last.

bleeding for a couple days is normal but not two weeks later...there could be either a retained placenta, a uterine infection or a dead puppy inside...this is nothing to fool withbecause if she has an infection it may go into the milk and affect the pups...get her checked as soon as possible
