We got up early and went out for breakfast. When we got home blood was running from Mr. Dawg's nose. It wasn't doing that when we left this morning. Strangely enough, there was no blood on the comforter where he was when we came home or any where on the floor. His right front paw was covered in blood. While Cheryl took him to the vet, I fed and watered the other dogs. About half didn't touch their food this morning -- Very unusual. I don't know if it is a reaction to my being upset and tense over Mr. Dawg, or because they sense a problem with him.
I called Cheryl after feeding the dogs. Because his nose is already bleeding and because they normally get nose bleeding after a Rhinoscopy, they may have to keep Mr. Dawg overnight. Fortunately they are now a 24 hour facility with vets on duty all day and night. Dr. C was not happy with the fact that he is starting to bleed even while being medicated. This is not a good sign. When Dr. C is worried, there is usually good reason to be worried.
In order to cheer myself up I am posting some pics I took a few days ago.
Here is Cheryl at the ready with the Pooper scooper. We have to do this because of our resident poop eaters.
I was lucky and got two really good shots of Inky. Normally when she sees the Camera, her ears go down. Here you can see them in normal perky mode. Things are so much better when they are perky.
Mr. Dawg's nose problems seem not to have affected his ability to enjoy sniffing around the yard.
As usual, Prince and Prissy are more interested in chasing tennis balls than sniffing, Can you guess what is in Prince's mouth in this picture?
Most of the other dogs mingled sniffing at smells with investigating new things going on around the yard. Sometimes there was indecission as to which way to go.
With Ginger there is no indecission when one of the items is a bird! For some reason the flash went off when I snapped this picture, making it look like Ginger is the subject of one of those religeious paintings of someone receiving divine inspiration from above. If I didn't know her better I woud call her "Saint Ginger" in this picture.
Then it was time to go in and fix our supper. Some dogs were ready to go back inside.
Others were a little more reluctant. Sweet Pea was ready even though her exausting search for fresh poop to eat had been fruitless. She was ready for some fresh cold water to drink and bath in.
Except for Pea Pod, the younger dogs were still sniffing around and not ready to come in yet.
Yesterday evening we were called out for a different 911. Two young squirrels were fighting and fell out of their nest about 70 feet to a concrete driveway below. When we got there one was dead, but the other was alive. We took the live one to the vet and it turned out that the injuries were not serious. The worse was a bite to the nose, which is where the blood was coming from. Evidently the survivor was on top when they hit the pavement. By the time we got to the vet it was moving around on the towel. The vet took it in and said she knew of a licensed squirrel rescue person in the area, who would take care of it.
One last picture of our Mr. Dawg and I will close this long missive.

As always, I enjoy your pics and stories! You gave me a good chuckle with the pic of St. Ginger, she really does "glow" in that pic. LOL
Lots of prayers for Mr. Dawg that it turns out to be nothing serious. Please keep us posted.
