Cat not eating and often sits in litter box

My cat is at the clinic tonight. She is down to 4% red blood cell count, got an infusion of the synthetic blood, and is resting there tonight. She also got an IV drip beforehand. She'll get another few hours on the synthetic blood tomorrow morning. It's really tough seeing her like this. I hope she pulls through, but the chances don't seem that good now.

I'm still here and thinking about you. Have you gotten Five O's lab results? Perhaps when you go to pick her up you can get them. There is one test I'd like to know about: the reticulocyte count. This is an indicator of how the bone marrow is trying to make up for the anemia. Also, on the CBC, what is the MCV? Did they do a Coombs test? I hope that Five O will feel a lot better when you get her home, and will eat and rest well all weekend. I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Hang in there. kk
