hi.....our eight month old kitten constantly scratches his neck, and it's
now causing the hair to come out. there is nothing on the skin that
i can see or feel that would be causing this. we treated him for fleas
a couple of weeks ago.....but used the hartz stuff, that you put on
the back of the neck, just like advantage. (i know i should have used
THAT) i don't think he has fleas. could it be his food or something
in the air?? if anyone has ideas, i would appreciate it.
thanks!! elntray[/b]

Re: itching kitten
It could be a reaction to the Haartz or a host of other ailments such as toxicity from chemicals, bacterial or fungal infections or allergies to name a few. Here is a link on Alopecia that you may find interesting

The best thing you can do for your kitty is have her seen by your vet. He will determine the cause and can give her something to alleveate the itching.
I hope you will be able to get to the bottom of the and have it easily treated. Please never give Haartz anything to any animal. Their products have developed a reputation for causing more harm than good. I hope your kitty is okay and that you will post again soon with a good update.
