I just found this forum and thought maybe someone could help me.... I noticed this evening that one of my cats has about 6 small pink bumps on his head. There is one on the top of his head, 2 above each of his eyes, and one in his ear. I've been trying to find something online about this, but having no luck. I haven't seen any signs of fleas, and he doesn't seem to be itching or scratching. Any ideas what this could be?
Thanks, Traci
Small pink bumps on head
Re: Small pink bumps on head
HI there,
When you say "bumps", are they raised? Do they form a ring?
I am thinking ringworm. You should really have your cat checked by the vet. If this is ringworm, he/she needs immediate attention. It isn't fatal, but can be passed on to you and your family. It can be a major pain to get rid of.
Good luck!

Re: Small pink bumps on head
They actually look kinda like pimples or bug bites. A couple of them have small scabs on top of the bump. I thought it might be acne, but everything I've read says that acne would be on the chin and he doesn't have any bumps on his chin. I had ringworm once before and it didn't look anything like what he has. I am planning to take him to the vet in the morning. I had to put one of my other cats to sleep a couple weeks ago, so now I am really paranoid about everything.

might possible be infected hair follicles that are slightly infected but per your stating that your going to take him to the vet...would you post the diagnosis when you get one please....??
