worried about my new kitten!

i got a kitten a few days ago and she has barely eaten anything since! she's about 10 weeks old. i've tried dry kitten food, canned food, even a bit of canned tuna, and she doesn't seem interested! i'm getting worried.
is this normal for a kitten in a new home, or is something seriously wrong with my new baby?

i assume she has been checked for worms and was properly weaned, if not get her checked and try heating the food because it enhances the odor and flovor...cats will not eat things they cannot smell so try warming the stuff---anything that you think she might like=--and waft it under her nose...but be sure she is parat=site free....

thanks for the tip! she was dewormed, but i suspect she wasn't properly weaned. she's started to poke at the canned food and licks it a great deal.
it's like she doesn't know how to eat. i'll be taking her to the vet on tuesday.

I'd guess she just wasn't properly weened.

My cat did the same thing when we first got her at 5 weeks of age. She didn't know how to eat dry food. We had to start her on kitten formula, went to wet food, and eventually she would eat dry food.

Did your kitten have her vaccinations recently? This can cause a decrease in appetite. Is she drinking? It is more important for her to drink at this point to prevent dehydration.

If she continues to not eat, definitely call your vet.

P.S. Tuna isn't good for cats. Once in a great while it is okay, but not on a regular basis.
