Fur getting thinner???

Hey everyone! I need an expert opinion. I am calling the vet's office tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this. Chessa (who is only a year and half, and is strictly an indoor cat who has all her shots, etc.) seems to be having a problem with her fur thinning out. I first noticed it on her lower belly, and now the back of her legs. I haven't changed her diet or anything like that...there aren't any apparant reasons why she would be stressed. I never see her scratching, or licking those areas often. She is acting as normal as ever...yet the only way I can describe her fur in these regions is like peach fuzz, or when the hair starts growing in after an operation. Any ideas what could be the cause? Thanks for your opinions!!!!
