I think I reported a year or so ago that the NRC's Revised Nutrient Requirements of Dogs and Cats would be done by 2004-05, but a private source revealed it is expected to be released in June of this year, at a national dairy symposium, watch for it's publication soon after.

It is my understanding that a few on the panel felt that currently, the guidelines had higher nutrient recommendations than previously thought, but after surmising just who offered input to the panel, I'm not surprised

I do believe there were a few which definately needed revising, but much research has been put into this, so let's wait and see what is published....
