Hi.
I've noticed my cat has less hair above her eyes upwards toward the openings to her ears. The area is similar on both sides above her eyes. The are is not bald but the hair is distinctly thinner in that area. However, there does not seem to be any thinning anywhere else.
Is this normal? Thanks.
thin hair in the 'eyebrow' area?
Re: thin hair in the 'eyebrow' area?
Actually, that is a pretty normal trait in all cats, if you look closely, the area between the eyebrows and ears is very sparse of fur. Most of this can be attributed to them grooming constantly in that area with their front paws. (hence, slow growth and sparseness of fur)
However, if you've noticed a sudden loss of fur in that area, or patchiness, or scabs, or along other parts of the body, don't hesitate to get your kitty seen by your vet.
