Can I mix foods on a regular basis?

Post by newcatlover »

I have two kinds of food and was wondering if it's ok to feed my kitty different food for am / pm. Does anyone do that? She seems to be doing fine. One food is similar to ProPlan (higher calorie I guess) recommending 3/4 to 1 cup a day while the other is 1-3 cups a day so I feed the higher calorie in the morning/afternoon and the low calorie at night.

Does anyone think this will upset my kitty's tummy? No trouble so far been doing it for about 2 weeks.

Thanks!

No, you need to stay consistent with one diet only.....this is for her optimal health. Choose a premium adult maintenance diet (since she is 7 months old now) of one type and stick with it (unless she develops an aversion etc to it, in which case, try something of equal formulation, for example, premium for life stage: adult)

Btw, could you please keep your posts in the same topic thread, makes it easier for us to answer one post concerning one cat.....thanks.
