Here is a little dog we picked up as being hit by a car yesterday. He was obviously injured, but it did not appear seriously. He was walking around and didn't appear to be in any pain. He has been treated with prednisone and placed in a kennel in case the owner comes by. He has severely bowlegged front legs. This accident is not the cause of thier strange appearance. Just before leaving last night we checked on him for a last time and it seemed as if he could not get up on his hind legs, although he still did not appear to be in pain. If he is not better later today, he will go to the bridge. He is such a sweet dog our hearts have gone out to him and we are very saddened by this.
This moth was caught by my dogs the other night. Any lepidopterists out there who can identify it?
