So this morning my cat had diarrhea. In the litter box. I didn't look at it too closely, but I did not notice any blood or anything. So I decided to have her fast for the day, thinking maybe she ate something weird. Anyway, when I got home after work, she seemed just fine. Hungry and high energy. So I gave her some Gerber's turkey. Nice and mild, I thought, plus it's full of water, in case of dehydration. She ate it up pretty voraciously, only to throw up about 20 minutes later. Not all of it, but some. But all the while, she's acting perfectly fine--lotsa energy, is playful, looks healthy in the eyes. So what should I do??
Thanks,
Fiona
My cat has diarrhea, should I be panicked?
Re: My cat has diarrhea, should I be panicked?
i was about to say forget it untill i read the throw up part...that could be either a blockage or an infection, or could be nothing but dehydration could be the end result...get her checked and if you get an appointment take a sample of her diarrhea in with you....in a plactic bag please--not in an open container....
