Cheryl went to visit a sick friend at the hospital. While she was gone I puttered around the house and yard. Did some maintenance on the Jeep and cleaned up a bit. Needless to say the dogs spent most of the day outside. In between jobs I threw the ball and played with them.
Naturally I had to take some pictures....
In this one I focused on Prince, tossed the ball and pressed the shutter. This is what I got. In spite of all that concentration he missed and had to chase the ball down.
Here he is running back with the ball in his mouth.
Even he got tired of chassing the ball after a while and just stood there with it in his mouth after catching it.
If age hadn't slowed her down, Prissy would have shown him how it was done. Note that there are none of the histrionics in preparation for capture then the ball is tossed to her. She just does a quick appraisal of the trajectory, a short move to the estimated point of impact and lets the ball fall in her mouth.
Of course those weren't the only dogs out. Here are Ivory and Pea Pod with front row seats to the fun.
They ran so much that they had to take frequent breaks.
In fact everyone was ready for a Siesta after lunch.
Sweet Pea found a good spot one of the kennels, where she knew she wouldn't get run over if the pups got active again.
Prissy couldn't fit in the Kennel cabs, but found another out of the way spot to rest in.
Prince, Bernie, Inky and Apache opted for the comforts of the Sofa.
Of course the pups were just as tired as everyone else. They each found their favorite spot to curl up in.

Re: Beautiful Spring Day Pics...
Fine pics, as always - and that first one of Prince is wonderful! Would be great for a calendar or a dogfood ad... just an excellent photo aside from the quality of "Dog Personified!" Hope you will enter it somewhere
Again, thanks. After the last few days of hearing on and on re that poor demented old woman doctor over in St. Tammany Parish, I for one really needed to see these happy pics... reminds me all you good folks are still here, doing your best to undo damage and make the pet world a better place!
