my sister is very upset about the death of her beautiful smokey grey cat (was run over) rhubarb!!
she would really love to adopt a cat or kitten, we live in northern ireland and there doesnt seem to be many places that you can do this!!
(that she has seen)
she would prefer to adopt and unwanted cat than go round looking at litters!!
i have 4 cats all strays and unwanted and i love them to pieces you would nearly think they knew that you had saved them!!
can anyone help sister to find a new kitty???
adoption???
Re: adoption???
Hi,
Bless your sister for wanting to save an 'unwanted' cat. I'm on my second stray, and they sure do act like they appreciate our love, don't they? Anyway, I did find this link: http://www.h4ha.org/shelters/ireland.html that might help. I did a 'google' search for 'cat shelters ireland,' so you might want to try that also. I do believe that bringing a new kitty in will help her, but perhaps she'd consider keeping kitty indoors?? They are much safer that way, and I can attest to the fact that they are perfectly happy. Good luck to your sister, and bless you too for caring for so many babies! ((hugs)), kk

Re: adoption???
Hi, Kelly.......
Yup, I know that I still owe you an e-mail, but I've been having PC problems big time.
Might I put my two-cents in regarding your question?
Whenever anyone asks me about adopting a kitten or cat, I
always tell them to adopt two. Much to many people's surprise, kittens/cats are better off with a buddy. And, LOL! Ya just can't imagine the entertainment you have watching them play.
I have eight cats - either adopted from a shelter, or picked up from the road where some !@#$%^&*! dumped them out - all they all interact with each other. Of course, this doesn't apply to a lot of folks, but it's just MHO!

Re: adoption???
given all your problems with your pc, are you sure the problem does not lie somewhere between the chair and pc?Bluburd wrote:I've been having PC problems big time.

Re: adoption???
Ahhhh, yes, jason.........
My PC problems are most definitely between the PC and the chair.
However!, as time goes by, I learn more and more, and remember what I've learned from my mistakes. And, the biggest thing I've learned is:
If I haven't learned anything from all that I've tried with a boggled PC, it's best to use it for target practice, and buy an new one!!!!
(and I have, but haven't had time to mess with it yet......- OR - should that be screw it up, too )

Re: adoption???
my sister has getting a 3mth old maine coon kitten that breeder didnt register cause it was sickly!!
so she is getting it for free we are then going to bangor as they has a large cat shelter and getting a wee companion for it !!
so at least she is still rescuing one and getting a pedigree free!!
i really wouldnt be looking fo a predigree if it was going for another cat there are far too many little unwanted cats that need loving homes hence me having four!!
thanks so much for your help xo
