I think that my cats (or the fleas) are becoming resistant to Advantage, I plan on getting them Frontline next. Are there any new formulas out?
Can I give both Program and Frontline concurently?
Also.... Is there EVER a circumstance where a person can use a Flea Collar???
I have chemical sensitives and can't spray the house for the fleas - I must think that I am a flea, because it nearly kills me
These are indoor cats and I have only "seen" one flea, but supersensitive cat is reacting... they must be here.
Flea Control
Re: Flea Control
I wouldn't recommend anything but Advantage or Frontline.
NO, never use more than one product together.....if you make a switch between Advantage to Frontline, for example, make sure 30 days have passed after the last application of Advantage before you apply Frontline.
Flea collars are ineffective and worthless.

I HIGHLY recommend you going to your vet and getting a dose of Frontline! My Josie was eaten up with fleas when we adopted her. I applied the Frontline and within an hour, the fleas were jumping off of her. It was as if they were jumping to their deaths!
You also need to think about your cat's bedding. I treated Josie once without cleaning her bedding, and she got them back. You can get flea sprays for your home (furniture, carpet, pet furniture), and if they have any furniture covered in carpet like Josie's condo, make sure to clean it good. I also washed anything she ever slept on. If you can't use sprays, try to wash as much as possible in HOT HOT HOT water!
Hope you can get rid of those fleas! I know how annoying they can be, for both you and your cat!

Word of caution on treating the premises: Read labels carefully, and look for precautionary statements about permethrins and toxicity to cats. Please ask your vets for recommended products to treat premises in a household with cats.
