back to crating at night...

Post by DeVon »

for Skit-Bit the Great White ####!...she ATE my checkbook...yes folks, she ate it...the only remains this morning were the actual checks (thank gawd not many left on that batch), my driver's license, Amber's health insurance card, and our memberships to Exploration Place...oh, and one little square of leather and a piece of the silk lining...she ate the check register, photos (including two professional wallet photos i JUST got from a friend whose son is graduating high school), social security card, auto insurance card, and my library card...

yesterday was so bad it was funny...wednesday we went to wichita to look for a promotion dress for Amber...got back after dark and something went clunk just as i pulled up into the driveway and started dragging on the ground, i shut it off right then and there...Lori Ann got me up at 3:30, storms moving in, never went back to sleep...assessed the damage to the car first thing yesterday morning, entire exhaust system had come loose and the muffler was about 1" off the ground once i turned it...so i'm on foot, have my foster cat to get down to the vet's, put him in a carrier and start walking...he's pissed as heck about being in the carrier, throwing a fit, the carrier comes just loose enuf on the side the door springs open and out he goes...luckily he was an easy catch...drop the cat off, walk to my usual mechanic's, he doesn't do exhaust work and refers me down the street to another mechanic....walk over to next mechanic's, talk to him, he'll take a look but has no tow truck, walk back home hoping i can get it out of the driveway without tearing anything off (lots of bumps and ruts)...got blisters on both feet by now as i bought some flip flops, still new and my feet weren't used to the strap in between my toes yet...takes 20 minutes to get the car the 3 blocks to the mechanic's...spent most of the rest of the day conducting humane society business via e-mail...Amber comes home, starts to do dishes, my toothbrush is in the dish drainer as she was brushing her teeth that morning when i also needed to and just did it in front of the kitchen sink...she accidentally drops it into the dogs' dirty water bowl sitting in the sink to be washed...so she decides to boil my toothbrush and melted it!!!!!...

i had really hoped today would start off better...LMAO!!!!!!!!...

Why, oh why did I ever think this one would mature and mellow out?!

Skittle is now top-notch in Mr. Blue's eyes :)....msg

He's eaten my husband's wallet twice now. Both times, he's spared the cash but chomped on my hubby's work-issued credit card. The leather part was completely chomped. I think the two of them would like to get together to see what other damage they could do. :D I think this might be a very bad idea! The first time, we kind of understood; Blue was still a puppy under a year old. The second time, however, he was about 4 1/2.

this makes me feel so much better Mary. LOL! I just can't quite picture Mr. Blue chomping on a wallet once he surpassed puppyhood! He obviously has a little streak of the devil in him!

Geez, what a day! Would make a good comedy script ( hope your sense of humor is still intact). The only saving grace is that days like don't come every day...
