Hi there,
My cat is almost 3 years old, and he has always been awsome. He was litter trained when I got him at 8 weeks old, and never has been a problem since... until recently. He's a neutered boy. Very docile, and has never hurt anyone. His favorite game is tag with my boyfriend. Which is where he resides. My mom is really allergic, so he lives with my boyfriend. His family loves Skittles, and it's never been a issue. So here's the problem, for the last month or so he's been acting funny. Really hyper, and this past week he peed in the living room, and lastnight he pooped in the middle of the living room. He's never been a problem, but he'll become one pretty quick if this behavior continues. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this? One other thing. I did use a different brand of food for this past month. And will be going back tomorrow when I get the good stuff. But he never made a fuss about eating it.
Skittles is acting weird
Re: Skittles is acting weird
Get him to your vet promptly for an exam. It would be impossible to say at this point what the problem might be but it's imperative you rule out underlying health conditions. One red flag might be his urinating outside of the box, this can indicate a urinary tract infection or blockage...if a blockage, you have no time to waste, they can be serious AND fatal.
