Hello. I am new to this site and I have one dog and 3 cats.
I think my dog has a dental problem. She is always licking her lips and rubbing her gums with her paw. I have heard that plaque is very sticky so i am thinking that is what it is. I brush her teeth often because it really seems to help her. She comes into the bathroom willingly to have it done. And her breath has also been just awful. She has never had such horrible breath. I have gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to brush her teeth because it is so terrible. She sleeps with me.
Anyway, i know I need to get her teeth cleaned but will it totally solve the problem?

Welcome!
Have you had her checked by your vet?
Teeth cleaning may be all she needs, but there might be something else going on. It's best to have the vet examine her to determine what needs to be done. You don't say how old she is, but if she is an older dog, the vet will probably recommend having some blood tests done to evaluate her overall health before the cleaining, and taking her in to have her evaluated will give you a chance to discuss what you need to do.
Good luck.
