and the kitten has strtd having food
it has complan-it is a completely nutritious drink considting of milk and alll vitamins and minerals, after that it eats little rice
rest of the day it has no food,
it passes feaces normally
i hope these are good indications

I'm glad to hear the lesions have disappeared, they were probably largely responsible for kitten not eating.

Again, the kitten formula is not intended to be fed long term. Can I ask what types of pet foods you have in your area, what is available to you? Your kitten needs a complete, balanced dry or canned kitten food in order to provide him the essential nutrients and minerals for proper growth and development (please see our Kitten Care Pages as well as our Dietary and Nutrition pages). Without it, all sorts of problems can develop with growth, organ function, deficiencies in vitamins/nutrients/minerals that can cause various health problems.

The weight loss is due to the anorexia and insuffient diet, but could also be combined with other factors, such as the original disease process (intestinal viral/bacterial), vomiting/diarrhea, parasites, etc. If he is at least recovering from the viral, then the next step is getting him onto an optimal kitten food to aid in proper weight gain.
