cat that scratches a lot and now has bald spots

Our abyssinian was injured when he was small. He scratchs himself until he bleeds, which homeopathic anxiety drops haelp with. Now he has spots of fur missing. We don't see him pulling and it is growing bac, but there are more and more each day. Is there a medical problem we need to check on or is he trying to tell us something ekse? Help!

What homeopathic drops are you using and did your vet recommend that?

When was kitty's last vet checkup? Anytime scratching and bleeding are evident, warrants a vet exam, you need to know why he is scratching so excessively (i.e.bacteria, parasite, mites, pain response, allergy, fleas, etc)

Traci's correct...your kitty needs a complete check-up at the vet so you can try to find out why your kitty is scratching so much and so hard. There can be any number of reasons for the scratching including food allergies and anxiety plus all the things Traci mentioned.
