She's doing great. He put her on Baytril, I assume as a prophilactic antibiotic, and torbutol for pain. She got something for pain already this a.m. and he said to give her some in the p.m. if she needs it. I'm so glad they believe in pain meds for dogs now.
She's perky and hungry - very good signs! The vet said it was OK to feed her, so she got a treat of white meat turkey when she got home. I gave her just a little to make sure she keeps it down OK, but so far, so good. She'll get more in an hour or so if she doesn't have any problems. We have to go back on Monday the 23rd for suture and staple removal. We won't know anything for several days, but he still thinks whatever it was that were removed are most likely benign. He says they were really weird looking - sounded like he had never seen anything quite like them before. He says there was one small area of the bladder where all of the polyps were located. He checked the entire bladder and lazered anything that looked like it might be one starting (he described them as 'little bumps'). She is urinating just fine and there is no visible blood in the urine, which is good. He had no idea if they were likely to recur - maybe the pathology report will give us an idea about that once we find out what they are.
I am so happy that she is home with us. Thanks for all the good thoughts - you guys are great!

YEAH!!!
I'm so glad she's home with you, where she belongs! I'm also glad she's got pain medications, if needed. Hope everything about her recovery goes well, and that the arrival of your latest goes well, too!!
