Cat Sickness

Post by Donna29 »

Hello,
My mom's cat was sick yesterday. He threw up a few times and it was a brown color , also he wasnt moving like he usually does. I called hr today and she told me he threw up again , but this time he was moving around , she also mentioned to me that he hid on her once. My mom also once or twice a day lets him outside on the porch and I think he could of at something that is making him this way but not sure. Can anyone help me? Thanks

Honestly I think your mom's best option is to take him to the vet and have him checked ASAP. It could be nothing serious, but your best bet is to let a vet determine that. I hope the furbaby is OK...let us know!

My Mom and I took the cat to the vet yesterday, the vet examined him and said he looked fine, nothing wrong with his bladder etc.. She did take blood tests and then sent us to the vet hospital to get him xrayed , she suspects he ate something off the floor or something like that. Anyway we left him overnight at the hospital he got xrayed and the vet told us that if he found anything he'd call us but nothing so far. He did say he was dehydrated but Im wondering why? Why isnt he eating or responding? and also if he ate something like a piece of plastic that wont show up on the xray why is that taking so long to come out? Only thing I can think of is either he ate something plastic or he has a disease or something like that.
Thanks
