What's the biggest dog you ever saw???

On the Purina Top Dog Show they said that the biggest dog ever was a Mastiff - 353 pounds, 8 feet 2 inches...head to tip of tail! Bet jdf can find a link~!

Don't know- will try to find out. But I bet when he rolls over to have his belly scratched in his mind he thinks he's a Chihauha :lol:

The mastiff is probably one of the largest breeds, but the one pictured is also grossly overweight....I shudder at owners who reap in the rewards for a news story and have the audacity to gloat on the "size" of the breed when indeed, his obesity is probably causing him premature illness.

A true healthymastiff (bull mastiff) should be fairly lean-looking, tall, stalky and quite muscular, not obese.

are they not wicked i saw on tv where one of them killed a man!!!

but i suppose its the way dogs are brought up that can make them like that!!

thats quite a vague generalization given you mention one case and it was on tv. as with all things, im sure there is "more to that story".

true of any living thing with the capacity to be influenced.

i think this thread is showing a few good examples of how owners need to take responsibility for the animals they choose to accept into their families, for health and behavioral reasons.
