Food Questions....
Hello, I give my kitten mostly dry cat food, and he loves it. I know that sometimes he like the moist stuff too. I don't want to give him the whole can, that's way too much food. But how long do you think I can keep the open can in the fridge so I can give him more at another time? Any advice would be great I don't want to deny him something that he loves. Thank you.
Re: Food Questions....
Depends on how old your kitten is. If younger than 6 months, try to keep him on kitten food only. If older than 6 months, you can slowly graduate him onto an adult maintenance food. There are several brands that make a 3 oz canned form (Science Diet and Iams for example)....otherwise, feeding 1/4 to 1/2 of a 6 oz can once or twice a day should suffice (again, depends on his age, how much he wants to eat at a time). Techinically, you really don't want a can left in the fridge over 2 days max.
