I have a kitten named Tiger that we rescued about a month ago. Since we got her she hasn't been using the litterbox. She always wants to go to a corner of our room to do her buisness. I am trying to teach her to use the litterbox but she just wont. But when she is downstairs she will use the covered litterbox. I don't know what to do to get her to use the litterbox upstairs because that is where she is all the time. Also I have had her on the same food for the month we have had her but she still keeps the direrea. I don't know why that is either. I have another kitten also named Dorkus but She uses the litterbox fine but she also has direrea. But hers isn't like Tiger's. Sometimes Tiger's has blood in it. Is there anyway you can help me with my problem? Thanks!

Because she is using the litterbox downstairs is an indication she prefers privacy (all cats do)....so make sure the upstairs box is located in a private area away from heavy traffic areas.
What are you feeding them? Diarrhea in young kittens often leads to serious dehydration which can lead to some serious problems. Get your kittens seen by your vet and opt for fecal exams to rule out parasites, giardia, coccidia or bacterials. Also discuss the food you're feeding them, it could be inappropriate for them.

Special Kitty as in generic or store-brand food? If so, this would be considered a generic food and not ideal for your kittens. Generic and store-brand foods are often deficient in proper nutrients and minerals, kittens require an optimal diet for the growth and developmental stages. Please consider feeding them Iams kitten food instead.
