can it be so dry tht when it comes off sores are there?
am going to take jingles in to vet. she had waht looked like a sore from a small fight or something. but now not so sure. there was one sore heald up mostly now that when I tried to comb her fur opened it up. but now healed but the fur around it is comming off not qute the normal shedding. and below is another sore/raw spot could it be food alergy?

Generalize dry skin does not cause sores (unless kitty scratches herself during grooming or frustration), so you may be correct about it being a previous scab from fighting with her sibling. But it could also be an allergy as well (or mites, flea allergy, food or environmental allergy). If these 'sores' are appearing rapidly, best to have them checked by your vet.
