White Flakes on Cats Fur

Hello. I noticed the other night that my two year old cat Buttercup had white flakes all over her fur. It looks like a humans dandruff. I don't believe it is fleas because she is never scratching. She is strictly an indoor cat and has been to the vet for checkups regularly. Is there a such thing as just dandruff in cats where I can just simply shampoo it out?

it probably is dandruff, ie all furry animals can get it, but there also is a stage of the flea life that will give a white flaky appearance...any kid around interested in biology might be able to look under a microscope and tell you....but dandruff is usuall the result of diet...might be good to add an oil to the food or ask your vet for a specific diet...
