January

Post by jdf »

as this new year begins
a sad year comes to an end
a year of sad farewell
to a dear and best friend

in the day of the wolf moon
we ran the hills together
against all odds and into the wind
our days could last forever

overnight the winds changed
at the bridge on the river time
I'll remember you for always
and our days of old lang syne

As always, beautiful, Jim. Was thinking about my baby Cuddles yesterday....I miss her so much. I'm sure she and Roxy would be great friends....

jdf,

As always, your poem is absolutely beautiful. We made it through the holiday season. It is so sad without our precious friends. They are so noticably absent from all of the festivities.

Each day in Flagstaff, Athena runs free in a setting that is so beautiful it makes me think of Rainbow Bridge, where Roxy and Magnum run free as the wind.

Each night I say "Good night, Athena, dream of angels" and "Good night, Magnum, sleep with the angels."

Each morning, as soon as I open my eyes, Athena starts kissing and kissing me. I look outside at Magnum's memorial garden and realize another day has gone by without him and another lies ahead. Sweet Athena makes it better.
