Re: puppy names?????
Like Roxy, Mr. Blue got his name from a song. When we were first meeting and falling in love with him, my husband first suggested "Blue" because of his eyes. I started remembering just bits and pieces of a song. The only line I could remember was "I'm Mr. Blue, when you say you love me." It stuck! So if your friend has any songs that seem to fit, they can be a good source. jdf, that's really neat - I didn't know that was how Roxy got her name!

Re: puppy names?????
Noodle is a GREAT call name, I think! It has the soft vowel sound dogs and cats seem to like... though I have no scientific proof of this whatsoever, it is just an observation. My cat is named Q for the John DeLancie character in Star Trek Next Generation... The kitten and his mother had never been inside a house, but when I brought him into my home, he made it clear he was already perfectly programmed to be a housecat; thus I thought maybe he isn't really a cat... Anyway, he responds when I croon, "Cuuu... you're so cuuute!" And then, as time went on, I noticed Winnie the GSD seems to like that also... so now I tell 'em both they're cuuute - which of course they are! And they appear to get along better waiting to share treats etc. when I talk to them like that. So I can just picture little Noodle responding to his name!

I like it! It isn't any of the ones we suggested, but it sure seems to fit. I think it's a cute name for a Westie.
I have to ask - what are super noodles? Are they the flavored oriental noodles you make with boiling water? - if so, we call them ramen noodles. Nothing called super noodles here in the Florida or in any of the other states I've lived it, as far as I know - those states are Tennessee, Nebraska, Virginia, Alabama, and of course Florida for almost 35 years.
