In response to your question...

Clinic Name: Skadron Animal Hospital
City/State: West St. Paul, MN – A suburb of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, on the east side.
Number of Vets: Currently there are five Veterinarians, three Veterinarian Technicians, and two support staff. They specialize in small animal medicine and surgery.
Office hours are 9:00 – 12:00, 2:00 – 6:00 Weekdays and 9:00 – 12:00 Saturdays. There are always one or two Veterinarians on call for emergencies.

The doc’s, techs, and staff at this clinic are very compassionate, and focus all their energy on them. They treat our babies as if they were their own, and understand our love and our fear. I have numerous stories about their special care and treatment, but my three healthy and happy kitties say more than I could ever say!

I feel lucky to have found this clinic and such special people!!!

FOR EMERGENCY CARE:
Brooklyn Veterinary Emergency Service
453 Bayridge Avenue *between 4th & 5th Avenues
EXIT 1 (67th St) off Belt Pkwy.
718-748-5180
Hours: 8PM to 6AM

I've been to the emergency room three times and every time I found competent caring staff on hand. They are very committed. They are not cheap, but if you have an emergency and your vet is closed, they are a Godsend. The staff is terrific as are the doctors.

My regular vet is
Dr. John Campanile
Animal Hospital of Brooklyn
2270 Flatbush Ave. (corner of Fillmore Ave.)
Brooklyn, NY
718-258-0500

Dr. John is open 7 days a week. He reminds me of a country doctor. His office isn't fancy, but it's clean and the staff love the animals. He also has a partner on hand who is also a very good vet.

PALM DESERT ANIMAL HOSPITAL
Palm Desert, CA
760-568-9377

Dr. Terry Hicks (I prefer him, he's more cat-oriented) and Dr. Rodney Melchert
Open 6 days a week (Monday-Friday 9-5, except Tuesday open until 7 p.m. and 9-1 on Saturdays.)

Friendly, very reasonably priced. About $32/exam-visit. Dr. Hicks is very knowledgable and easy to talk to. Often gives a lot of one-on-one attention. Since I have five cats at the moment, he's been very good about not tacking on any extra charges.

Knoxville, Tennessee area:

The Cat Clinic
110 Perimeter Park Rd, Suite A
Knoxville, TN 37922
865-531-CATS
Three vets and approx 7-10 technicians, owner is Cindy Haas, DVM.
(Hours are typically 7:30am to 6pm M-F, and until Noon on Saturdays)
The Cat Clinic was voted Knoxville's Best Vet, they are a "cat only" clinic. They are wonderful group of people to work with!!!

Last February, one of my kitties was shot in the abdomen by an idiot redneck neighbor. He nearly died. Cindy Haas of The Cat Clinic referred me to a specialist to do exploratory surgery with Dr. LeeAnn Blackford. She saved my kitty's life and truly worked a miracle (he had to have a kidney removed, spleen and abdomen repaired due to the gunshot.) I believe she only works by referrals but here is her information:

LeeAnn Blackford, DVM, DACVS
Blackford Veterinary Surgery Referral
215 Center Park Drive, Suite 650
Knoxville, TN 37922
865-966-3920 (office)
865-755-1475 (mobile)

After hours pet emergency in Knoxville:

After Hours Pet ER
215 Center Park Drive, Suite 700
Knoxville, TN 37922
865-966-3888
Hours: Weeknights 7pm-7am, Weekends 1pm on Sat - 7am Mon, all holidays
2 full time Emergency Vets, and 2 back-up vets

And finally, this is the clinic where I take my dogs and have had a good relationship with them since I was a kid:

Animal Health Center
1919 W. Broadway Ave
Maryville, TN 37801
865-982-2270
While I prefer to take my cats to a cat-only clinic, this facility has always done a great job with my dogs. They did two major surgeries on my parent's siberian huskey after he wiggled off his leash and got hit by a truck, and I have much faith in their abilities.

In the Houston Texas Area:

The Cat Veterinary Clinic
M-F 7am-7pm; Sat 9-12
They have 2 vets that I know of. I only go to Dr Filip I love him!!
Services: dentistry, behavioral consultations, surgical procedures, emergency oxygen therapy, radiographs and laboratory services.
Ther are affiliated with an emergency vet but I don't know who.

This is a cat only clinic and its just been the best. Its an old converted house, and they just converted the one next door into the surgical center.(There is no zoning in Houston so this is common) The facilities are beautiful and there are a few house kitties that roam around. Dr Filip has helped me with all 3 of my kitties during routine and emergency situations. I wouldn't go to anyone else. I even drive my dad's cat all the way across town to come to him.
