necro-inflammatory lesion

Post by JMM »

What is it? I'm assuming it is related to either liver disease or GI disease.

Edited to add: Mikey has been vomiting, not eating well, and having diarrhea. We changed his dex from 0.5 to 0.75 ml and from every third day to every other day, starting today. He's eaten and kept down 2 pieces of rabbit kibble today.

beats the heck out of me....breaking it down, it means dead tissue inflammed which says absolutly nothing...sounds like a colloquial (sp) term..seeif you can find a little more descriptive term....

JMM, did you get that from the pathology? I assume it's necrotic tissue..where was the location noted in the path report? Was anything noted about pancreas, as in necrotic abcess?

davet, I was thinking it didn't make a whole lot of logical sense, either.

Traci, no, it is not on the path report, but was mentioned in passing in a conversation with one of the specialists. I'll have to harrass some of the vets.
