Took PJ home Thursday..
She started to eat a little at a time..and has not vomitted since wednesday at he clinic.
They still have found no reason. She is sore from the surgery but seems very normal.
How long will she be sore?
She is eating almost normally now.
I guess it will be a mystery.

I'm alittle confused...the results were sent to CSU for consultation....they are back now, and are negative, correct? Or, are you still waiting for CSU's comments?
Exploratory surgery is a radical one at that, you might expect her to be sore for at least a week post-op. In this time, keep her comfortable with as little activity as possible (she will let you know when she feels like getting around more). Watch her suture area closely for any signs of infection, and of course, followup with your vet per suture removal (usually 10 days post-op)
While it's good she is showing interest in food and being able to keep it down, please ask your vet about a recheck on her liver enzymes in another week or so.

Pj is two weeks post op and is a little better. She is eating maybe half of what she did before the surgery but has been holding it down. The stiches were taken out this weekend. She is sleeping alot in her safe place and appears to be in a bit of discomfort. When she is out she streatches alot. There is pinkness and swelling on her belly, but the vet says they dont believe it is a hernia and that her temp is normal so it is not an infection. They think what is causing the swelling will be re-absorbed into the body over the next two weeks or so. Does that make sense?
I guess she just might need rest after a long two weeks. She showed signs of normal activity last night, sitting by the heater instead of under the bed, and sleeping next to my wife instead of under the bed.
The CSU results were similar, there was a change from a mild to a moderate intestine something that would point to maybe worms (she is an indoor cat but we gave her the pills anyway).
Is her seemingly slow recovery and swellig around her belly normal Traci?

Question, did your vet put kitty on antibiotics after surgery? Have you had a recheck on liver enzymes yet? If not, I would opt to have that done, just as a safeguard.
Ideally, she should be showing signs of improvement by now, but because she is 8, her recovery may be a bit slower, it also depends on the extent of the surgery, open abdominal surgery is pretty invasive. I would be concerned about the swelling, regardless of absence of fever, and because she is only heating half of her normal amount of food (what are you feeding her?). While it's good she's keeping it down, there might be some inflammation going on somewhere (this might be what the biopsy report from CSU mentioned). Did your vet happen to rule out Inflammatory Bowel Disease?
I think I would give your vet a call and express that you are concerned with the swelling still and are concerned with a potential inflammatory process, and that her recovery is slower than usual. I'd also opt for a chem profile again, especially on the liver enzymes.
