Tommy's first science fair project..

Post by BoxerTom »

Check it out, I spent two weeks building the amazing tornado in a box machine (it really works - if you look close you can see the vortex inside). Tommy helped paint it and made a poster to go with it.

Is that a vaporizer supplying the moisture??? My husband will love this.
My daughter and him just spent a few weeks doing a replica of Disney's Tower of Terror for her 12 week Research Study program on amusement parks.
We are enjoying middle school much better the second time around.
I see he got an award for it too!!!!

Cool! Kole's hover craft is back in the garage...

In fact, Kole was riding it over the weekend. It definitely works better in the diningroom where the floor is level!

The science fair here was last week. He got a 97! :)

Great Job. I hope he didn't get to experience the real thing this past weekend.

Yes, the whole thing sits on a Vicks ultrasonic humidifier - at least it is not physically attached - that was the most expensive single component (70 bucks I think).

The heart of the vortex is the dark "line" running down the center of the "tornado". And yes it was for a grade school science fair.

Kinda weird, though, that there was such a swarm of deadly tornadoes the past week - we were talking to several folks from the midwest about them and how scary a real one is during the fair...
