Electric cords

Post by globug92000 »

It doesn't look like my previous post made it here, so will try again. My cat was sick on Friday (is much much better today), but when she was acutely ill, she would lie several places in my house where there were electric cords (whether they were plugged in or not). Has anyone ever heard of this? She's never done this before. She would lie ON the cords. Thanks! Globug

I doubt it has anything to do with the cords, but rather she was seeking hiding spaces (under a table, behind furniture, etc, hence location of cords)

Have you taken your kitty to your vet??? If not, now is the time to do so.

First, yes, I absolutely took her to the vet and she's on meds, doing so much better. I thought the cord thing was hiding as well, when I first saw her behind the t.v. I'm familiar with hiding when they're sick, but the rest of the day she was not in hidden places , but she was still lying on cords. She's not doing it now that she's better. I just thought it was a bit odd. Globug

there may be some heat radiation emminating from the cords (forget my previous aircorp radio traing so not sure) but it might be good to put some towells over the cords and an extra precaution...not good if they nibble on the cords.
