kitten with ear mites
All the over the counter med. says don't use on kitten until he is at least 12 weeks old my new kitten is only six weeks and has mited pretty bad anything i can do sort of a vet visit?? TIA

You really should get your kitten seen by your vet, and promptly, his age is concerning. You also want to rule out fleas as well, which in a tiny young kitten can cause severe life-threatening anemia. Mites can cause severe contact allergic dermatitis, which won't respond to over-the-counter products (don't use them anyway, they are ineffective and some are toxic to cats)
If you have other cats, you should know that mites can spread between them quickly. Please make an appointment with your vet, he can determine to what extent the problem is, and can prescribe proper ear flush and earmite medication. Be sure you ask him how to properly clean kitten's ears with the meds because if you don't know how, you could accidently puncture an eardrum, something kitten and you do not want to risk.
