Pred dose ..... URGENT

Traci,
Do you ever give 10mg. once a day instead of 5mg. 2 times a day?
I just discovered Blondie was given that in addition to the double dose of Alkeran. I have to be back at the vet board in 45 min.
Jane asked last nite but you didn't answer yet. If you are available, please answer. I will wait at the pc until I have to leave.

It depends on the condition and the cat...Easier dosing allows for twice a day administering, but in some cases, once a day is sufficient. It is not always dose-specific (i.e., timing...5 mg every 12 hours, or 10 mg once every 24 hours)

was there any discussion of tapering the dose, ie reducing it on a daily basis...depending on what the condition is, i found some cats got along on 2.5 mgs a day, but every cat and every conbdition is different
