"Walking The Degenerative Myelopathy Path With Miss Jin

Post by Doglady »

I wrote this article a few days ago, after Jingles' passing, and thought it might be of help to anyone currently owning a dog with DM, or may in the future. For those of you who do not know what DM is, it is the same thing as MS in humans.

I remember your Jingles, and with tears, wish her a safe journey. You wrote a wonderful tribute, and I will bookmark it in case it is ever needed. Thank you for giving so much to Jingles, and for sharing with us.

Thank you Traci. I'm okay, but I sure miss Jingles and Jezzy. Jingles had a very long life, and not everyone is as lucky as I was to have her so long.
She was a brave little girl, who fought very hard. Because of that she got a lot of extra quality time, so I'm thankful for that too.

Remember this? I shared this with you some time ago. Now that I'm making my own graphics, I made the graphics for her page. The photo of her was taken two days after her 15th Birthday, which was 2+ years after the onset of DM. I bought those roses for her to take to The Bridge.

Doglady,

I am so very sorry you lost your precious Jingles. I am happy you shared so many years together on earth. Here is a poem by Mary E. Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints in the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there;
I did not die.
