Godfrey update...not good news :-(

Post by Tina B and crew »

He tested positive for FeLK  After calling around frantically trying to find someone who could take him, with no luck, I had to make a decision.......I can tell you this was the hardest decision I have made in my life and I hope that Godfrey can forgive me...I couldn't bring him back here, non of my co-workers could take him, Bridget couldn't find anyone to take him....
Everyone involved agreed that I made the right decision. We couldn't release him back out there to expose other cats. So if I made the right decision why does it feel like I betrayed the little guy???? I have been crying non-stop for the past 2 hours....my heart breaks...he was such a sweet cat....may Godfrey's journey to the Rainbow Bridge be a safe one

Fortunately he was confined to a crate and isolated in a seperate room from my cats...I suppose I should just trash the towels I had in there for him :( Man this hurts

Thanks Traci...it really is amazing how these little four legged creatures can touch us in such short time...I miss him like he had been my own cat for years

Tina, I'm so sorry....it hurts when we have to let them go...even when it is the right thing to do. My prayers go out to you...safe journey across the bridge Godfrey.

Awwww! :( I'm so sorry to hear about your cat! I'm sure you made the right desicion and i suppose it wouldn't of been right to keep him suffering. I guess the best thing you can do is think of the good times? Godfrey will always remain with you... in your memories.
I'm so sorry xx
