My kitten I discovered today is making these awfull sounds..like shes in major pain.. i felt around to see where it was and it was located on her: left side near her rib cage she keeps crying.. i tried to lay her on a pillow and keep her food and water near her.. so that she wouldn't get up! shes about 3 1/2 months old.. I wish i knew what was wrong with her anyone have any suggestions??????? I dont have $$ for emerg. vet visit! please help!!
Re: HELP !!!!! PLEASE RESPOND!
i have no idea, given your descriptions (to me at least) it could be anything, perhaps a buildup of some fluid??
a vet visit is very much in order, especially given the age of this kitty.

Get your kitten to the vet or ER immediately! While cats have a high tolerance for pain before we even hear a complaint, your kitten is meowing for help and depending on you to get it.
Borrow a credit card, ask for a payment plan, post date checks. I am on a fixed income and just totalled over $500.00 this weekend for emergency care for a feral. Talk to the office manager.
Please take your kitten to the ER.

Hi....I'm new to this board and by no means want to step on toes but my cat was doing close to the same thing last week. I took her to the vet and she had an abcess from a fight outside. She is still semi lethargic and not feeling 100%. The vet says these abcesses can get infected quickly so please take your baby to the vet. I was very honest w/ my vet and asked them if I could make two payments on my $130 bill. They were absolutely fine with that. My hubby had just gotten out of the hospital and I couldn't pay the entire bill either. I know it's hard to 'beg' for payments but please do it for your kitty-baby's sake!
Keep the board posted about her progress!!!!!

good advice, most vets will do this. if the bill is quite large they are typically flexible within a few months as well; they are not ignorant to the "cost of love" and are willing to acommodate within reason.Angie wrote:I was very honest w/ my vet and asked them if I could make two payments on my $130 bill.
