My cats whiskers are falling out!

Is it normal for my cat of 8 years to loose whiskers. She lost one that I know of a few months ago and another the other day. I am six months pregnant, I don't know if sheis stressed cause I am pregnant? Is she ok?

Chances are, it's perfectly normal, kitties do lose their whiskers all the time, we just don't always notice.

On the other hand, if she is developing any other signs of ill health that are induced by stress, such as anorexia, weight loss, behavioral changes, litterbox mishaps, etc, by all means, get her evaluated by your vet to play it safe.

It's perfectly normal for a cat to shed whiskers every now and then. Whiskers are just long, thick hairs, and they shed and grow back out like other hairs on the body.

My cat loses a whisker every few weeks or so.
