Amber's "owner"

Post by Tina B and crew »

Bridget finally got his number and called him...she left him a message and both her work and cell phone and asked him to call her ASAP regarding Amber. That was yesterday afternoon and as of this morning she has heard nothing. Will see what happens today. I told her that if she hadn't heard from him by Monday I am sending a lettered Certified Return Receipt mail and telling him that we are going to pursue finding another home for Amber unless we hear from him by ***** (not sure what date I will put in there)....then see what happens. I'm thinking maybe I will put something in there about how it seems he isn't ready to accept the responsibilities of a pet and maybe it would be better if Amber had another home. I really don't feel comfortable sending her back to him at all...Oh...and Bridget said if she is up at her boyfriends this weekend (he lives across the street from Ambers "owner") she might just walk over and knock on the door...but the last few times she's been up that way she said she hasn't seen his vehicle. Could mean he's moved, I don't know. I'm simply :x over his handling of this.

If he is like this, it is in Amber's best interest to be adopted by a loving and responsible person. I do hope it all works out for her.

Tina, I hope all works out with Amber...she deserves the best.

You know my thoughts...but I just have to say this guy is incredibly irresponsible and you are very kind to give this person one last chance.

All the best to you.

Lisa...yes I do know your thoughts...and I concur with them. So far no word from him at all. Bridget is wondering if he's moved...she might go talk to his parents and see if they know what's up :x

I vote for new owner. This guy doesn't sound responsible. It may not be intentional, but his heart just doesn't seem in it. I hope you can find her something better.
Kitty kisses,
Debbie
