Hello everyone, and Happy Saturday to you and Happy 6th birthday to Mr. Blue! I bought him this squeaky sock toy for his birthday, but his feline sister, Carmel, has taken it over. Fortunately, I got another toy for him:
He hasn't liked the cold windy rain on our walks today, but we've tried to make it a good day for him. He had some canned food with his supper, which is a great treat for him (he eats dry on a regular basis), and has gotten all kinds of cuddles and lovin' from us! Not knowing when his real birthday is, the weekend before Halloween is what we decided on. He's now been with us for 5 years and 3 months, and what a great time it's been! I've never loved a dog as much as I love him. I loved my childhood dogs a lot; at the time, I couldn't ever imagine loving one more. But it's different when you're the one responsible for his care, isn't it? On this day, in addition to "I love you," I just want to say thanks to Mr. Blue for being the dog he is, and for all I've learned with and from him, and I hope it lasts a long, LONG time in the future!
, he also knows that Mr. Blue has the nicest temperament in the neighborhood. I thought that was a really nice compliment for him! And hey, if he's also the most spoiled dog in the neighborhood, then I'm doing my job!
